Leaving Pittsburgh, Part 3 of the Neverending Saga

I’m going on nearly a week of living out of this trusty red backpack now, as I make my way through a crispy early morning Shadyside to catch the 500 downtown and back into the Amtrak station’s waiting arms.

It’s all considerable fun of course, even the constant consecutive early morning wake ups, all in uncomfortable positions and all before dawn.

This morning bus ride has me feeling like I’m chasing around one part of my family to catch the next while leaving the last. But still, what could be better than a daybreaking bus ride through beautiful August Pittsburgh, skyline fully lit and all.

Note: During the writing of this, I was happy in the warm and dry summer climate that awaited my walk across downtown, only to look up and see the rain on it’s way to the ground.
