Handbook: Short Term Housing

Slow travel.
It’s possible in an RV, sure, but if you start setting your sites on truly seeing the world, you might want to consider doing so by renting housing short term. Sometimes this might involve vacation properties in the off season–the most beautiful places, when no one is there–with the tradeoff being that the weather might not cooperate, or all of the restaurants and attractions aren’t at full swing.
Other times, you may rent a place in a town or city like everyone else, just for a shorter period of time and with the intention of moving on at some point. Here are our guides and interviews for that method of travel.
